ANGELS HEARTS is a voluntary led and communities-based organisation managed by the diverse EM communities themselves where all the members are working voluntarily.
The organisation has the following objectives:
To prevent and relieve poverty through initiating and facilitating humanitarian assistance and support for local and international communities in Scotland, UK and abroad.
To advance health and wellbeing for the disadvantaged EM and indigenous communities (individuals and families) through promoting health awareness, training initiatives, volunteering, physical and mental wellbeing support programmes.
To advance education through offering educational activities and training opportunities as well as empowering members of these communities raising awareness of poverty issues and the impact this could have on families and individuals and society as a whole.
To promote equality and diversity through celebration of cultural heritage and inclusion in multicultural Scotland and providing empowerment and capacity building support as a means of tackling poverty, isolation and promoting integration and active citizenship.
Through our objectives, we aim at stimulating, promoting and assisting integration for the diverse EM and other disadvantaged communities in Scotland and overseas through initiating, developing and facilitating responsive platforms for their social, cultural, economic and political participation and engagement at various levels while empowering their active citizenship skills.
This entails the development of plans, programs & structures that allow us:
To support equal responsive provisions for care provision, housing, education, health in line with the social justice and human rights agendas and the aligned support necessities for diverse in Scotland and beyond.
To enable a voice for the diverse communities in all aspects of policy and support provision developments that are relevant to them and their families and wider society.
To support the diverse communities in building and sustaining social connections: initiating, developing and facilitating social bridges, social bonds and links with their respective communities locally, regionally and nationally.
To promote their democratic participation and empowerment through activities and direct engagement facilitating their participation in, for example, consultations, local developments, policy and service provision planning, etc.
Enhance, develop and support guidance frameworks among the diverse communities enabling them to take an active role in their local, regional and national settings stimulating and promoting their cultural heritage and integration leadership.
